Jazz at your event
Are you planning a private party or are you still looking for the right musical entertainment for your company event? The Swiss guitarist Beat Baumli will delight your guests with his pleasantly relaxed but musically top-class performance. He is a professional musician with many years of live experience and therefore knows best how to lead the audience through fascinating worlds of sound with charm and ease. The unobtrusively played music fits even into the smallest rooms, whether as a concert performance or discreetly in the background. You can book the guitarist solo, as guitar duo "Guitar Talk" and in many other formations. With a small budget or limited space, Beat Baumli also likes to perform with authentic sounding playbacks.
The sounds and the repertoire
Beat Baumli's repertoire ranges from swinging titles like "Take The A Train" by Duke Ellington, Gershwin's "Summertime" or the catchy tune "Take Five" to Bossa-nova standards like "The Girl From Ipanema" and funky compositions like "Watermelon Man" by Herbie Hancock. To create the jazzy, bluesy and groovy sounds he uses an archtop guitar, which convinces acoustically with its harmonic and rhythmic presence and is also a visual delight for the audience. The guitarist can spontaneously use electronics to accompany himself and then sound as authentic and energetic as a real guitar duo.
Beat Baumli trained at the Berklee College of Music in Boston (USA). After countless appearances in various bands, the jazz professional is currently mainly active in small groups. In 2015 he was nominated for the Swiss Jazz Award. Radio Swiss Jazz regularly plays his pieces recorded with various fellow musicians. He works part-time as a guitar teacher at the Academy Of Contemporary Music in Zurich, the Jazz School St. Gallen and the Municipal Music Schools in Baden and Lenzburg.
