Traditional and unconventional
The Swiss Alphorn Trio knows how to enchant any audience with the alphorn. You too can offer your guests a special musical experience consisting of rustic sounds played in a contemporary style. The three professional musicians give the alphorn a youthful touch and play a wide range of music from baroque to contemporary. Traditional alphorn music also plays an important role in their repertoire.
The three alphorn players
Dominik Ziörjen studied trumpet in Prof. Markus Würsch's class at the Bern University of the Arts and completed his Master of Music in Pedagogy with distinction in 2016. As a freelance musician, he plays in various orchestras and ensembles and also frequently performs as an alphorn soloist. Severin Zoll plays everything that has to do with the horn (French horn, natural horn, alphorn, Wagner tuba, cow horn or watering can). As a horn player, he often plays in various orchestras, e.g. the Zurich Chamber Orchestra, the Biel Symphony Orchestra and the Swiss Chamber Opera. He is also a horn teacher at the Langenthal and Gäu music schools. Jan Müller works as a euphonium teacher and soloist after and alongside his studies. For example, he has performed with the New Zurich Orchestra and the Zurich Symphony Orchestra and is a member of the Zurich Opera House Orchestra.
