Colorful repertoire
From Finnish waltzes and Argentinian tangos to Balkan circle dances and American fiddle music - the Strello band's repertoire offers the right style for every taste. The three-piece formation plays original compositions and sophisticated arrangements of well-known pieces and entices its audience to dance and dream.
Unplugged or amplified
Be it for your wedding, a vernissage, a cultural event or as background music for your Christmas dinner: Strello's charming sounds create an enchanting atmosphere. Since 2013, the trio has been bringing a variety of sounds and virtuosic joy of playing to streets, stages and gardens - all over Switzerland. Strello adapts to your event - whether unplugged in the open air or amplified on stage.
The band
Violinist Jennifer Bartmess has been playing her instrument since early childhood. Classical music, but also jazz, manouche, swing and Americana music are particularly close to her heart. She has played concerts in the High Atlas and in the rainforests of Borneo and has toured the USA and Europe with various bands.
David Häggi already loved singing as a child: he made up the songs he performed himself. He plays the accordion and has dedicated himself to Eastern European music as well as tango, Swiss dialect and improvised music. He founded the Bern Bümpliz Accordion School in 2016.
Double bassist Tobias Doppler has played his instrument with various bands throughout Switzerland - sometimes in pubs, sometimes outdoors in nature. He has been involved with the Festival des Arcs since 2001.
