Unlimited joy of playing the hammered dulcimer
Remo Crivelli is one of the rare dulcimer players who are able to use this instrument as a soloist. Crivelli exploits the immense sound variety of the dulcimer to the fullest. He uses it to play trance floor music in a new version, folk music of the world and trance music that breaks new ground. In his solo concerts he impresses with his great musical breadth and openness and inspires the audience with his joy of playing.
"Chill in & out" - the solo program
Remo Crivelli presents his current live program "Chill in & out" as a multi-instrumentalist totally multimedia. The soft acoustic sounds of dulcimer, hand organ, saringhi and tabla mix with electronic sounds to trance rhythms and atmospheric clips. With the alphorn Remo Crivelli sets surprising accents. An experience for the senses!
From the original piano to the digital dulcimer
Crivelli looks back on decades of musical experience. In the 70s he played as a pianist and keyboardist in various rock, blues and jazz rock formations. Then he discovered the "Urklavier" with the dulcimer and began to explore it meticulously. As a world novelty he had a fully chromatic hammered dulcimer with pickup built by the Bernese hammered dulcimer maker Marc Ramser. As a solo musician and sought-after sideman, he mainly plays music in the border area between world music, folk music and jazz, but is also open to newer sounds and tones. Or as Remo Crivelli says: "The dulcimer is my emotional surfboard on which I can glide into my fantasy worlds.
