Versatile musical entertainment
Two passionate musicians and a variety of instruments: This is the dance duo Polaris. With two-part singing as well as saxophone, clarinet, piano, guitar and accordion, the duo offers your guests a musical experience that invites them to dance, but at a volume that also allows for conversation. The strength of this band is their versatility. Thanks to the various instruments and the wide repertoire, the dance duo transforms itself at your event from a Grisons ländler band into a jazz band, then becomes a racy Latin combo, brings the most popular pop songs on stage and finally, as a rock formation, creates the right atmosphere. Ideal for parties with a colourful crowd of guests!
The two musicians
The clarinetist and saxophonist Marco Wurster trained as a primary school teacher in Chur, then studied classical clarinet at the Lucerne School of Music with Antony Morf and attended master classes with Michael Collins, Sharon Kam and Michael Reid. Currently he works as a primary teacher and teaches clarinet and saxophone in Rapperswil-Jona.
Heinz Wurster worked as a secondary teacher in the canton of Graubünden, taught hand organ, conducted various choirs and now directs the mixed choir Igis. He plays piano, keyboard and guitar and has been performing as a dance musician for many years.
