Wilhelm Toll - Swiss Mountain Rock'n'Roll
With subtle humour, original instruments and smart songs, the Swiss band prepares a musical feast of the finest for their guests.

From background music to the show

When your first guests arrive, "Wilhelm Toll" as a background band provides a good atmosphere. Later on, the musicians playfully move from table to table or from room to room and offer relaxed musical entertainment, be it between courses or during dinner, at a volume that the guests can still talk to each other comfortably. After the main course the time is ripe for the crazy music-comedy show. Wilhelm Toll knows how to involve the audience more and more in the action and amazes the audience with the use of all kinds of original instruments.

The band for every occasion

Wilhelm Toll is a band that is suitable for parties and events of all kinds and offers music for everyone, from groovy gypsy swing to country hits and blues classics to Swiss landler. Depending on the size of your event, the musicians come in twos, threes or fours. At smaller events Wilhelm Toll plays unamplified, at larger events the band brings a music system.

The musicians of "Wilhelm Toll"

The fiddler Roland Ambühl also plays mandolin, blues harp, accordion, garden hose alphorn, spoon drum and much more. Furthermore he sings most of the songs. He has been on stage with various formations since 1970, among others with the "Country Ramblers" (19 albums).

Reto Gfeller plays guitar and with his radio bass he has a leading role in the band. He can also be heard on the electric bass, wash tub and leaf rake bass.

Daniel Schramm on the guitar plays virtuously in the background. He has brought some nice songs into the repertoire of the band, which he also sings himself.

Sämi Berger, music teacher and drummer by profession, plays the cajon (wooden box) or knocks the painters' buckets. When Sämi starts with his drum solo, it lifts the audience off their chairs.

Sometimes Lisa Scannell complements the band with her baby bass (bass ukulele) and the bass tuba when she's not playing with Bo Katzmann or "Art on Ice".
