Virtuosic, racy and for the heart

The Schwyzerörgerli-Quartett Längenberg offers traditional Swiss country music, played with three Schwyzerörgeli and a double bass. The varied repertoire includes pieces from the regions of Bern, Grisons and Central Schwyz as well as numerous original compositions, played in the Bernese style. According to the motto "Music is the wordless language of feelings" the quartet inspires your guests with virtuoso compositions, sometimes played racy and sometimes more for the heart.

The four musicians

Bruno Marti (*1961) has been playing the Schwyzerörgeli since his youth. He was active in various formations and has been playing with the SQ Längenberg since 2012. Several of his own compositions have also been published on recordings.

Ueli Burri (*1955) was one of the founders of the SQ Längenberg in 1979. After a break of several years, he has been making music with this quartet again since 2013. 28 of his own compositions are represented on a total of ten recordings.

Daniel Kissling (*1965) has played since the 1970s in various formations and with various Schwyzerörgeli greats such as Urs Glauser and Peter Zinsli. In 1982 he joined the SQ Längenberg. He published over 100 of his own compositions.

Benz Hefti (*1967) began playing bass and Schwyzerörgeli autodidactically at the age of 13. In 1984 he founded the Schwyzerörgeli-Quartett Bergmoos. In 1992 he changed to the SQ Längenberg. There he still plays the bass violin and also includes his own compositions in the repertoire.
