Traditional music and more
Would you like to delight your guests with the diversity of Swiss cultural heritage? Then the Röschtigrabe group is the right choice. This group performs in various formations, for example as a band with two accordions or Schwyzerörgeli and a bass fiddle, with two to ten alphorn blowers or with yodelers and bell ringers. In addition, flag-wavers and valley-wavers may also perform. All members of the group are dressed in colorful traditional costumes. Their performance is a feast for the ears and the eyes!
About the formation
The Röschtigrabe group was founded in 2000 by Gilbert Kolly and Andrea Pürro-Jungo to represent Switzerland at the World Folkloriade in Japan. The formation remained in existence even after the trip to Japan. It has since performed not only in Switzerland and surrounding countries such as Germany, Austria and France, but also in Costa Rica, Holland, Hungary, Thailand and Texas. The first recording was released in 2001, followed by a second in 2005, and even a 4-language DVD was realized in 2017. In 2020 the group presented an anniversary CD.
