Fantastic musical mixture

The six musicians of Hornbox have absorbed the unmistakable sound of the Sixties and Seventies with their mother's milk, but are by no means in awe of the good old days. On the contrary: This band doesn't shy away from anything! Funky sounds alternate with fine jazz ballads, reggae and ska are followed by spicy Latin rhythms, and tuba sounds from the Balkans are rounded off by sweaty Afro pieces. The original compositions are original pearls, which seamlessly follow the well-known covers. With Hornbox your event will become a boisterous party.

The band

Hornbox consists of six (professional) musicians with performance experience at home and abroad: the lyrical and powerful saxophone player Thomas Danzeisen, the Bernese blues and jazz master Nilo Bortot on guitar, Mike Maurer and his impressive solos with trumpet and flugelhorn, the versatile grooving keyboardist Stefan W. Müller, the drummer Lukas Bitterlin, who sets the beat from jazz to funk to Latin, and Fredi Küffer, who sometimes lays the bass line with the electric bass, sometimes with the tuba. The live band can be booked as a trio, quartet or in the full line-up as a sextet.
