Markus Dürst comes to your event with only one instrument, but with a huge musical repertoire. This ranges from traditional folk music from Switzerland, France, Italy, Hungary, Ireland, Argentina and many other countries to not quite everyday classical works from the 16th century to blues, jazz, rock 'n roll and modern pieces. The musician will be happy to put together a program according to your wishes or spontaneously adapt the style to the audience and the situation.

Let yourself be surprised how much atmosphere one person can create with an accordion! On request Markus Dürst also performs with different musicians or a band.

Musical career

Markus Dürst first played an accordion at the age of six and began taking lessons with Ruedi Wachter at seven. At the age of 19 he became Swiss champion of young musicians. Many other awards followed as well as CD recordings with the Trio Eugster, with Markus Fend of "Die Klostertaler", Ruedi Wachter, Wolfgang Verocai and many other well-known musicians. He played in countless radio and TV shows, among others with Nicolas Senn in the famous TV show "Hopp dä Bäse". Dürst has also toured internationally with Wolfgang Verocai and other musicians from Austria. Since 2014, Markus Dürst has been working as an accordion teacher in addition to his career as a musician and composer.
