Catchy dialect songs
Ueli von Allmen and Ephraim Salzmann play powerful music from the silence of the mountains. Both have musical partner projects with other cultures and are rooted in different musical styles. As a result, their music sometimes sounds rocky, sometimes Irish or Latin American - and always has a groove. Their melodies are clear and catchy and reflect the longing of the mountain people. Ueli von Allmen writes his songs in the Bernese Oberland dialect, they are spiced with a lot of humor and depth and they are about everyday stories and encounters that we all experience.
Both have long been at home on stage as versatile musical craftsmen. Their experience and versatility lend a natural lightness to their interplay.
The musicians
Ueli von Allmen comes from the Lauterbrunnen Valley in the Bernese Oberland and has been a freelance musician and singer for decades. He founded the Bern Folk Music School in 1983 and is one of the pioneers of the children's concert scene in Switzerland. He has been on the road with the world music band Tächa since 1993. Among other things, the busy artist organizes interactive children's concerts and accompanies people in their music projects.
Ephraim Salzmann has his center of activity, the "Spillrüm", in his home town of Naters in Valais. The musician and sound poet is particularly known for his work on the Valais dulcimer - in addition to numerous solo performances, he regularly accompanies concerts by other artists such as Stefanie Heinzmann. At "Spillrüm", he offers musical experiences for people of all ages.
