Jazz and Latin at your party

Give your event a groovy touch! The trio "The Jazz Lounge" is specialized in jazz and Latin. Whether with stimulating sounds in the background to an aperitif or with a concertante interlude between courses, whether at private celebrations such as birthdays and weddings or at company events and vernissages: the professional ensemble will put together a suitable music programme for you.

The three musicians

Rotraut Jäger studied classical flute at the Mainz Conservatory (music education) and at the Zurich University of the Arts (concert diploma), followed by studies in jazz at the same institute in Zurich and at the Manhattan School of Music in New York City. She teaches flute and gives concerts in various formations in the fields of classical music, jazz and Latin.

Simon Kessler, born in 1983 and raised on Lake Walen, is a professional guitarist and guitar teacher. He completed his master's degree in music education jazz at the Lucerne University of Applied Sciences and Arts in 2009. In addition to teaching at the Baar Music School and the Sargans Cantonal School, he plays in the bands of the biggest Swiss musical productions such as "Io Senza Te", "Space Dream" and "Flashdance", or "Wüstenblume" and "Lady Bess" at the St. Gallen Theatre. In addition, he is a versatile session guitarist for pop, rock and jazz artists in Switzerland and abroad and can be heard in the Lucerne City Light Symphony Orchestra.

The double bass player Fridolin Blumer studied at the Jazz Department of the Basel Music Academy. For many years he has been researching the musical tradition, the acoustic events of today and the way the bass is played in relation to them. From this he develops his own new musical language and is often on stage as improviser and interpreter.
