Would you like to put your guests in high spirits with swinging strings? Then book "Les Copains du Jazz" for your event. The small information offers you the finest jazz sounds in short interludes or longer performances, played virtuosically and unobtrusively with acoustic instruments. Musically, the "Copains", which have existed since 1993, are inspired by Django Reinhardt, one of the founders of European jazz. The trio provides the right vibrations at vernissages and apéritifs, at weddings and family celebrations as well as in clubs and bars.
Urs "Hubi" Hubschmid - rhythm guitar
The founder of the "Copains du Jazz" is considered in insider circles to be one of the best banjo players and guitarists on the current Swiss jazz scene. It is not surprising that Hubschmid is repeatedly hired as a "star guest" by various bands and works together with renowned jazz musicians from all over Switzerland.
Cornelius Solbach - solo guitar
Since he was infected with the jazz virus as a teenager, Solbach has played in a wide variety of formations, appearing sometimes in big bands, sometimes as a solo guitarist at festivals and concerts in Switzerland and abroad. At the moment he also lets the strings of his guitar sound in the band "cs trio".
Peter "Tico" Keller
After some pitiful dance music attempts on the piano, Peter Keller turned to the double bass and has remained true to it until today. He has even become a collector and restorer of such instruments and belongs to the generation that found their way to jazz through the broadcasts of the American occupation radio AFN and Lance Tschannen of Radio Beromünster. Keller started out in the early 1960s in regional Dixieland bands and small dance orchestras, made a detour via Ländler music and found his way back to jazz.
For about 20 years he has been playing regularly with Erich Gandet Quintet, Sunset Duo/Trio, Jazztravellers, Tingal Tangel Trio and in changing formations with Georges Weiersmüller, Hans Rothenbühler, Bruno Gandet, Hanns Hänggli, Sabine Siegrist, Donadio Family, Nic Niedermann etc.
