Small but nice

The harmonica is an inconspicuous instrument, but a virtuoso player can elicit extremely impressive tones from it. So don't be surprised if you suddenly hear an entire orchestra playing while Jan Hartmann is standing all alone on stage. His playing on the Blues Harp is sometimes gentle and soulful, sometimes wild and exuberant, but always haunting. With a good portion of humour he leads your guests from piece to piece and makes sure that your event will be remembered in the best way.

The passionate musician

After a piano education Jan Hartmann received his first Blues Harp as a gift at the age of 16 and immediately fell in love with the instrument. Supported by his mentor and later friend Joe Walter, he soon played his first concerts. He refined his technique on extensive travels through the south of the USA and at meetings with international stars of the harmonica scene. In the meantime Jan Hartmann has enthused a large fan community in hundreds of concerts around the globe.

• Band: With his band Jan Hartmann melts the rhythms and sounds of black America from the first half of the 20th century: swing, rhythm & blues and rock 'n' roll. Whether as background music or breathtaking show - Jan Hartmann's band guarantees an unforgettable atmosphere.
