Trift combines old with new

Trift build a sonic bridge between past times and present moments. Their name is inspired by the spectacular suspension bridge that spans the foot of the Trift Glacier in the Haslital. And the name says it all: old melodies, original, powerful, with wit and depth, are lovingly revived by the three musicians with musical finesse.

Rich Swiss culture

The three musicians are passionately dedicated to the cultural treasures of Switzerland’s outlying regions. The programme “Was im Haslital gsungen wurd” focuses on the Haslital dialect, whilst the programme “Gschnätz und Niidle” features songs performed in the respective local dialects. Old melodies and original compositions are reinterpreted with great feeling and musical freshness. A vibrant contribution to the preservation and transmission of regional traditions.

Three musicians with a wealth of experience

Roland Schwab is a master of dozens of different instruments, including the curved serpent, a historical wind instrument. The Trio Trift brings decades of stage experience to the table. Performing with accordion, guitar, percussion, wind instruments and vocals, they take the stage by storm and captivate their audience with their witty and thought-provoking programmes. The three multi-talented performers tailor their programme to suit the occasion.
