In the "Xenegugeli Animal ABC" from the ant to the quaking eel
The Xenegugeli animal ABC - the dialect classic from Bern - is known far beyond the borders of Switzerland as the ABC DINO app. Offer your young and old guests a jewel of dialect music. Roland Zoss writes songs that "verhäbe". Accompanied live by multi-guitarist and pirate Toni Tortuga.
The "Mani Matter for children" has been taking us through the animal world for two decades. From hedgehogs to electrically rocked electric eels, from the Australian jabiru to the mammoth to the grandma who "ergelsteret" herself because of a cheeky magpie. And one thing is never missing at concerts: mouse Jimmy Flitz, the children's favorite.
An original, loved by children and appreciated by parents
The Xenegugeli was published in 1999 as an artistic book and sound album in Bernese dialect. It was soon being played in Norwegian nativity scenes, performed in Bümpliz retirement homes and danced on the streets of New York.
"The Xenegugeli is a small masterpiece!" praised the Schweizer Familie magazine for the total work of art in picture, rhyme and song. The first German ABC APP followed in 2009. Since 2013, the ABC DINO has been available in several languages, sung in Swiss German, German, English, French and Spanish.
