A unique cast
The Altophonium Quartet will delight your guests. On the one hand by the ensemble's cultivated performance, on the other hand by its unique instrumentation: two alto horns, a baritone and a euphonium together form a harmonious body of sound that flatters the ear exceedingly. The quartet has gained a lot of stage experience during its numerous performances at events with national and international appeal. With their joy of playing and professionalism, the four young musicians will also musically enrich your event.
Classical repertoire and thematic programmes
The Altophonium Quartet has a rich repertoire that includes well-known overtures, powerful opera choruses and delicate vocal numbers in equal measure. You can also choose from a variety of thematic programmes, which can be individually adapted to your event.
The Ensemble
The professional musicians Christoph Hertig (alto horn), Monika Zuber (alto horn), Reimar Walthert (baritone) and Jan Müller (euphonium) completed their studies at the University of the Arts in Bern, among others. It was in this environment that the Altophonium Quartet was formed in 2004. The musicians also perform as soloists or in orchestras and work as music teachers and conductors. With "Rhapsody in Blue" (2011), the ensemble released its first CD. The album was produced in collaboration with the French pianist François Killian. The four wind players of the Altophonium Quartet can replace a horn quartet, a choir, a bassoon ensemble or even an entire symphony orchestra at will.
