The Troops
"Konterschwung" is a self-help group for addicted ex-arts gymnasts from the back of Thurgau. The Konti-Team tries in its own way to cope with the withdrawal symptoms of bar gymnastics. Originally, the Konti team preferred to hide in equipment rooms. But for some time now, performances in front of an audience have been part of their therapy program. With their weird "cool number on the bars" they try to reintegrate into society.
The Show
The comic-acrobatic show, which has won several awards, is performed by nine to twelve acrobats and lasts between 4 and 20 minutes by arrangement. Setting up the equipment is part of the programme, but can be omitted or prepared behind a curtain.
The success
The group "Konterschwung" is very successful with their shows. In the last 20 years they have won the Golden Spotlight of SF DRS, among others, and have placed among the best with silver at the Kleiner Prix Walo and bronze at the Lenzburg Juggler Festival. They have performed in Canada (Canadian National Exhibition), at the 6-Day-Race at the Hallenstadion Zurich, in the ARD-Show "Immer wieder Sonntags" or at the international circus festival in Düsseldorf.
