Dialect rock to sing along to
From "Alperose" to "Zampanoos": Hänus Schmettergäng plays the songs of legendary dialect rocker Polo Hofer with great passion. He was successful with bands such as Rumpelstilz, Polo's Schmetterding and Schmetterband. His music also inspired Schmettergäng frontman Johannes "Hänu" Brändli. When he was a teenager, he even traveled behind Polo's Schmetterding for a while. Today, "Hänu" brings the atmosphere to boiling point with his own band. Anyone who appreciates good dialect rock will sooner or later catch fire at a Schmettergäng performance. The concerts often turn into sing-along parties.
Well-known songs
In addition to frontman "Hänu", who sings and plays electric guitar, the Schmettergäng also consists of Peter Fleischmann on drums, Nicole Montavon (vocals) and Peter Candinas on electric bass. All four have been playing together for several years in the almost acoustic dialect folk formation Johannes Brändli Band. As Schmettergäng, they take a harder, rockier approach and dig up all the well-known songs from back then. A Schmettergäng concert consists of two 45-minute sets.
